Notes

'Scent and Sensibility' lilac (Syringa 'Scent and Sensibility') is a shrub for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. The flowers are fragrant and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It stays compact at 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads wider than it is tall.

Pairs well with Purple Sensation ornamental onion, Siloam Amazing Grace daylily, and Incrediball Blush smooth hydrangea.
