Notes

'Tinkerbelle' lilac (Syringa 'Tinkerbelle') is a shrub for hedges and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant blooms open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and they draw butterflies, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It also tolerates drought once settled in.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Columbine, Lady's mantle, and Lupine.
