Notes

'Seadown Sunset' peony (Paeonia 'Seadown Sunset') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Geranium-red or orange-red blooms with cream undertones open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Sweet William, and Grape hyacinth.
