Notes

'Seaside Sunrise' peony (Paeonia 'Seaside Sunrise') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The medium yellow blooms have ruffled petals and open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Butterflies visit the flowers, and Derek Irvine bred this one.

Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Sweet William, Grape hyacinth, and Big bluestem.
