Notes

'Selene' peony (Paeonia 'Selene') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant creamy yellow flowers blushed pale pink open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It blooms reliably from new growth if winter takes older stems.

Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Lamb’s ear, and Queen of Night tulip.
