Notes

'Seneca' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Seneca') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. Grow it for fresh eating, with fruit ripening in mid season. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms from early to late spring. It is not self-fertile, so plant a second cherry nearby for pollination.

Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Clustered bellflower, Eastern columbine, and Campfire rose.
