Notes

'Shaina' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Shaina') is a shrub for borders, containers, specimen planting, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows slowly into a broad form and shows fall color. Bees and birds visit it, and it tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Primrose, and Casa Blanca lily.
