Notes

'Shamrock' inkberry (Ilex glabra 'Shamrock') is an evergreen shrub for borders, hedges, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows slowly to about 36 to 48 inches tall and wide, and bees, butterflies, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Chokeberry, Switchgrass, and Great blue lobelia.
