Notes

'Shirley Pope' Siberian iris (Iris sibirica 'Shirley Pope') is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It forms a clump of upright leaves and blooms in spring and again in summer. Butterflies and hummingbirds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Bee's primrose, Aurea tufted sedge, Brookside crane's-bill, and Royal fern.
