Notes

'Shortwood' garden phlox (Phlox paniculata 'Shortwood') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. The pink flowers have a dark eye and are fragrant. They open from early to late summer and again in early autumn, and they draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees.

Pairs well with Blue wild indigo, Little bluestem, Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, and Stargazer lily.
