Notes

'Shropshire Lass' rose (Rosa 'Shropshire Lass') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and loamy or clay soil. David C. H. Austin bred it in 1968. It makes a huge arching shrub with fragrant light pink blooms in spring and summer. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers, and showy hips follow.

Pairs well with Jackmanii clematis, First Frost hosta, Casa Blanca lily, and Japanese holly.
