Notes

'Siberian' garlic (Allium sativum 'Siberian') is a bulb grown for fresh cooking, roasting, and long storage. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. This purple stripe hardneck is hot without being too spicy. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Plant it in fall and harvest in mid to late summer.

Pairs well with Chinese mustard, Zucchini, and Red fescue.
