Notes
'Sienna' stinking hellebore (Helleborus foetidus 'Sienna') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. It forms a clumping, evergreen mound 12 to 24 inches tall. Greenish white flowers open from mid winter and again in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Lady fern, Aureola Japanese forest grass, Toad lily, and Christmas fern.
