Notes

'Silver Cerise' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Silver Cerise') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. C. H. Porter bred it in 1927. It bears large single cerise blooms with silver tipped edges in early summer. The strong stems hold the flowers up well, and the blooms last after they open.

Pairs well with Foxtail barley, Sensitive fern, and Spanish bluebell.
