Notes

'Silver Dawn' peony (Paeonia 'Silver Dawn') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Professor Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1949. The fragrant white flowers have a faint flush, and the silvery gray-green foliage has a crimson edge.

Pairs well with Stargazer lily, Autumn Frost hosta, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
