Notes

'Silver King' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Silver King') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its full double white flowers open in late spring to early summer, and it blooms later than many peonies. The plants grow tall and do best in a cool climate. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Spanish bluebell, Sensitive fern, Catnip, and Black chokeberry.
