Notes
'Simply Surreal' peony (Paeonia 'Simply Surreal') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roger F. Anderson bred it, and its fragrant magenta single flowers attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. New leaves emerge burgundy and turn green.
Pairs well with Krossa Regal hosta, PowWow White coneflower, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
