Notes

'Siren' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Siren') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The dark red semi-double blooms open in late spring. Stiff stems hold the flowers up well, which makes them good for cutting. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with False Solomon's seal, Sensitive fern, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
