Notes

'Skyrocket' red cedar (Juniperus virginiana 'Skyrocket') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its fragrant blue-green foliage stays on the plant all year. The dense, narrow form grows slowly and tolerates salt. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Ice plant, Switchgrass, and Inkberry.
