Notes

'Taylor' red cedar (Juniperus virginiana 'Taylor') is a tree for specimen planting, privacy screens, hedges, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows in a narrow, dense column with green evergreen foliage. The fragrant needles stay green all winter, and the tree handles drought and salt.

Pairs well with Star magnolia, Big bluestem, Sedge, and Spicebush.
