Notes

'Slawa' tulip (Tulipa 'Slawa') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The flowers are purple in bud with red edges, then open to burgundy with creamy apricot edges. Plant it where other plants will not shade the bulbs, and let the foliage die back naturally after bloom.

Pairs well with Carlton daffodil, Karl Rosenfield peony, and Charles Joly lilac.
