Notes

'Sleeping Beauty' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Sleeping Beauty') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant white single flowers open in early mid-season and face upward. Each bloom has dark purple flares at the base of the petals. Franklin and Angela Chow bred it, and it grows upright to about 75 inches tall.

Pairs well with Great blue lobelia, Prairie dropseed, and Black Parrot tulip.
