Notes

Slender rosinweed (Silphium gracile) is a perennial for meadow gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall and bears yellow flowers in early to late summer, with more in early to mid autumn. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Blue mistflower, Hardy hibiscus, and Texas bluebonnet.
