Notes

Smooth rose (Rosa blanda) is a shrub for hedges and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It has thornless or near-thornless stems and fragrant pink to whitish flowers that attract bees and birds. It spreads by root suckers, so give it room. It can get fungal problems, so good air flow helps.

Pairs well with Indian grass, Showy milkweed, and Gro-Low fragrant sumac.
