Notes
'Blanda' smooth rose (Rosa blanda 'Blanda') is a shrub for borders, hedges, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deep pink flowers are fragrant and attract bees. Birds also visit the shrub. Thorns cover the stems, so plant it where you will not brush against it.
Pairs well with Butterfly bush, Clary sage, Feather reed grass, and Casa Blanca lily.
