Notes

'SMSJBP7' lilac (Syringa 'SMSJBP7') is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The purple flowers are fragrant and open in late spring, again in summer, and again in early to mid autumn. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Plant it where you can enjoy the scent.

Pairs well with Hansa rose, Picture peony, Limelight Prime panicle hydrangea, and Ice Follies daffodil.
