Notes

'Snow Cap' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Snow Cap') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double white blooms have a slight yellow cast and open in early spring. Edward Auten, Jr bred it in 1955. The foliage stays clean and attractive after the flowers fade.

Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Prairie dropseed, and Ostrich fern.
