Notes

'Sombreuil' rose (Rosa 'Sombreuil') is a shrub for cottage gardens, borders, specimen plantings, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade, average moisture, and loamy or clay soil. It bears fragrant, double white blooms in late spring, again in early to late summer, and in early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Roses of Yesterday and Today introduced it in 1951.

Pairs well with Bigleaf hydrangea, Stargazer lily, June hosta, and Blue jasmine.
