Notes

'Sonia Hélène' peony (Paeonia 'Sonia Hélène') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Maurice Ménard bred it, and the single, light yellow flowers are fragrant and last until petal drop. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Stems reach about 33 inches, and the plant does not need support.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Queen of Night tulip, and Blue grama.
