Notes

'Sonoma by the Bay' peony (Paeonia 'Sonoma by the Bay') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, single, deep rose red flowers have a bright ring of yellow stamens and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Irene Tolomeo bred it.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Queen of Night tulip, and Switchgrass.
