Notes

'Soothsayer' peony (Paeonia 'Soothsayer') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its single, deep cerise pink blooms are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Edward Auten, Jr bred it. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Little bluestem, and Charles Joly lilac.
