Notes

'Sorcerer' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sorcerer') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Dark red single blooms have a golden-yellow center and open early. Each stem carries 2 to 4 buds and has good strength for cutting. Roy G. Klehm bred it in 1995.

Pairs well with Tickseed, Spanish bluebell, and Sensitive fern.
