Notes
'Southern Beauty' peony (Paeonia 'Southern Beauty') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The yellow blooms have orange-red shading and orange-red edges in early to late spring, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Derek Irvine bred it.
Pairs well with Sundrops, Blue fescue, and Pink Impression tulip.
