Notes

'Southern Belle' rose mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos 'Southern Belle') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows upright to about 36 inches tall and wide, and it grows fast. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the summer blooms. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, Coneflower, and Indian grass.
