Notes
'Souvenir de Lothar Parlasca' peony (Paeonia 'Souvenir de Lothar Parlasca') is a shrub for specimen plantings, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The fragrant yellow flowers have small red flares at the petal base and open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Lily of the valley, Ostrich fern, and Sundrops.
