Notes
'Souvenir d' d nepeta (Nepeta sibirica 'Souvenir d') is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The fragrant violet blue flowers open in late spring, again in summer, and again in autumn. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Knapweed, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan.
