Spanish iris
Iris xiphium

Notes
Spanish iris (Iris xiphium) is a bulb for borders and cut flowers. The flowers are blue or violet, and sometimes white, yellow, bronze, or two-toned. Each bloom has an orange or yellow blotch on the blade of the falls. Plants carry one or two flowers per stem in spring and early summer. The leaves are greyish green, so they add soft color to the bed before and after bloom.
Pairs well with Creeping phlox, Astilbe, and Christmas fern.
