Notes

'Sparkle' strawberry (Fragaria ananassa 'Sparkle') is a fruit for food gardens, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Bees visit the blooms in spring and summer, and the clumping plants stay evergreen. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Give it room to spread 12 to 24 inches.

Pairs well with Joan J raspberry, Genovese basil, Southern Comfort coral bells, and Common comfrey.
