Notes

'Spilled Wine' weigela (Weigela Florida 'Spilled Wine') is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Its arching stems reach 24 to 36 inches tall and wide. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Columbine, Rose Glow Japanese barberry, and Stargazer lily.
