Notes
'Sonic Bloom Red' weigela (Weigela Florida 'Sonic Bloom Red') is a shrub for borders, hedges, specimen planting, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It blooms in spring, summer, and autumn, and hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The arching shape reaches about 47 to 59 inches tall and wide.
Pairs well with Snowcap Shasta daisy, Siberian iris, and Globe thistle.
