Notes

'Spring Torch' heather (Calluna vulgaris 'Spring Torch') is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its purplish-pink flowers attract bees. This evergreen grows 12 to 18 inches tall. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.
