Notes

'County Wicklow' heather (Calluna vulgaris 'County Wicklow') is an evergreen shrub for borders, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows at a moderate pace and has an ascending habit. Bees visit the flowers in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Hinoki cypress, and Bristlecone pine.
