Notes

'Sprite' peony (Paeonia 'Sprite') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Single ivory white blooms have light pink edges and a sweet scent, and bees and butterflies visit them. Professor Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1950. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with June hosta, Annabelle hydrangea, Sedge, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
