Notes

'Stand by Me' clematis (Clematis 'Stand by Me') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Blue bell-shaped flowers open in early summer and bloom again in late summer. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. This clematis does not twine, so use stakes or neighboring plants to hold the stems upright.

Pairs well with Nodding onion, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, and Royal fern.
