Notes
'Story' tulip (Tulipa 'Story') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The flowers open in early to late spring on stems about 16 inches tall. Each bloom is claret rose outside and bright signal red inside, with feathered yellow edges. J.F. van den Berg & Sons bred it.
Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Cat's Pajamas nepeta, Angel Cheeks peony, and Ernest Markham clematis.
