Notes

'Strawberry Blonde' peony (Paeonia 'Strawberry Blonde') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Many side buds extend the bloom for up to 2½ weeks, and the light yellow flowers have a mild, pleasant fragrance. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The dark green leaves turn red in fall.

Pairs well with Hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Queen of Night tulip.
