Notes

'Strawberry Social' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Strawberry Social') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Cerise red outer petals frame a softer cerise-pink center. The compact plants stay about 24 inches tall and bear fragrant blooms in early summer. Roy G. Klehm bred it in 1992.

Pairs well with Spanish bluebell, Royal fern, and Spider flower.
