Notes

'Stretch Johnson' rose (Rosa 'Stretch Johnson') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Red blend flowers open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. The upright shrub grows to about 71 inches tall. Samuel Darragh McGredy IV bred it in 1988.

Pairs well with Woolly yarrow, Nelly Moser clematis, Japanese forest grass, and Grape hyacinth.
