Notes

'Stymphalian Birds' peony (Paeonia 'Stymphalian Birds') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Early semi-double flowers are carmine-pink with cream edges, and they are fragrant. Joshua Scholten bred it, and butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Yarrow, Blue grama, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
