Notes

'Sue Lawley' rose (Rosa 'Sue Lawley') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and loamy or clay soil. The compact plants stay under about 43 inches tall and bear fragrant red blend blooms that attract bees. Flowers open in late spring, again from early to late summer, and once more in early autumn. Samuel Darragh bred it in 1980.

Pairs well with Blue Mouse Ears hosta, Nelly Moser clematis, Autumn fern, and Snowdrop.
